At Powell Point Church, lives will be changed through the Word of God.
Our ultimate endeavor is to inherit eternal life; we also endeavor to live victoriously, successfully, and prosperously in this current life on earth.
The Word of God says, “And thine ears shall hear a Word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. II Timothy 3:17-18
At Powell Point Church our emphasis is on teaching the true and whole Word of God and applying the Word of God to our lives every day. We know that by doing so, we can and we SHALL live Holy as God has commanded in Hebrews 12:14 – Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Join us at Powell Point Church as we realize God’s Vision for us together through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
What We Believe
We believe that the Holy Bible is inspired by God, and is the only infallible written Word of God.
We believe in the blessed Trinity; only One God, eternally existent in Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ Jesus, at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for Him.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and a life separate from sin in this present world.
